National Work Life Week

Running your own business can feel like a tiring and an uphill battle. Flexible working hours are becoming more and more important when it comes to finding the right business.

A perfect work-life balance is something everyone desires, but it can often be a struggle to achieve – sometimes there just never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done.
As a franchisor we believe in highlighting the importance of creating a healthy balance between your working life and your personal life.

Our business model is built on creating the desired work-life balance whilst also enabling our franchise partners to sustain a profitable business. Most of our franchise partners are able to do the school run during the week or watch a school play – working around their daily coffee round.

Achieving a good work-life balance is essential, however, it looks different for us all. Here’s what some of our franchise partners had to say to Celebrate National Work Life Week:

Henrik – Really Awesome Coffee Leicester West

“Prior to starting my Really Awesome Coffee Franchise, I spent 30 years managing both independent and branded hotels, up and down the UK, where I was responsible for all aspects of the business, including the satisfaction of our customers, staff, board members and owners. This meant working a lot of hours throughout the day and night, across the whole week and through all festivals and bank holidays and often staying away from my home for days and weeks at a time.

Starting my Really Awesome Coffee Franchise back in 2016, has put me in control and enabled me to work the hours I want to work, choose the events I want to do, earn the money I need, spend time each day with people you are truly glad to see me and most importantly, to spend much missed quality time with my family and new granddaughter. I can honestly say that I wish I had taken the plunge a lot earlier.”

Corinne – Really Awesome Coffee Nuneaton

“Leaving employment in a typical 9-5 job to become self-employed has enabled me to choose the hours that give me flexibility for a healthy work-life balance. I am now available to collect my son from school every day and consequently we get more invaluable quality time together as a family.”

Craig – Really Awesome Coffee Coleshill

“In my last role I was in charge of a medium size factory ,and was always stressed thinking will staff turn up ,will stock arrive on time etc, Since starting up my Really Awesome Coffee franchise I am a lot more relaxed and happy don’t get me wrong it’s still hard work, but driving round chatting to people and providing a excellent service which all my customers appreciate. I can honestly say the last 2 years have been great.”
